Jean Mendillo Babbe started designing at a young age but made it her career after attending San Francisco Academy of Art. She implemented all that she knew in 1982. Soon it was good fortune that Bella Notte received the attention of a showroom at the California Apparel Mart. This was also to include showrooms in New York, Dallas and San Francisco. Currently she is living in Santa Barbara California and designing for "Boutique" Markets . The result is a Retro look with a contemporary touch. Her blouses are a specialty and a number one choice but her line also includes Dresses, Swim Wear, Skirts and a selection of Children’s Wear and Jewelry that are equally beautiful and unlike any other designer collection. Jean is very excited to share the results of her new design talents with you at long last. It has been a journey that has taken her from London to San Francisco and Los Angeles and back again to her home town of Santa Barbara.
